My boyfriend has a unit at this facility and he will be removing his things from the storage property due to the fact that they refuse to secure the doors leading into the units . The doors remain unlocked, The only security they have are cameras and a main gate is locked but the doors leading into units do not lock.

Lynn, I am sorry to hear of your negative experience. Regarding your issue with the security of our property, our property has restricted gate access, security cameras, and each storage unit has a cylinder lock that offers superior tamper resistance. Also, the tenant is the only one that has the keys to their particular storage unit lock. When you mention doors being unsecure you are referring to the hallway entry doors leading to the storage units. These doors have never had a locking system and the intent is for it to remain that way based on customer feedback that locking them is an encumbrance rather than security benefit. I reviewed this incident with our manager and he stated that he reviewed the door security with your boyfriend prior to him moving into the unit. We certainly appreciate your feedback and will consider it for future projects but also feel this review misrepresents the security of our property and also contains unrealistic expectations for us to swap out our door systems immediately upon your request.
